Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

First bucket and a metal pole and broken fishing pole.

Second bucket.

Lead plate from a battery in the water.

Lead on a rock with my hand on the left.

Lead in my bucket next to a children's sunglasses and a beer bottle.

Lead is not good eating!
.

More battery lead I found.

.

I did pick up what garbage I could see/ I could pick up.
Something I can not pick up is this huge metal frame of a bus or truck that is in the shore nearby. This metal frame has a tire sticking out from the side. I cut off half the tire with a hack saw. I will take a photo of it later.

First bucket of the day with a pile of glass for the second in the background.

The second bucket of the day.

I didn`t want to do this third one, but I had to out of fear the bottles would be broken by some asshole and be 100 times worse to clean up. Picking up 50 odd pieces of a broken bottle.
Anyways the garbage bag in the bin broke. Thinner bag maybe . And I had to dump the third bucket on the ground next to the garbage. Should I have dumped it on top? I don`t know.

August 14 photos

12 liters of broken glass from the river shoreline. Next to the walkway on the entrance of the Cap St Jacques Park.

Junk on the shore.

More junk on the shore.

End of day close up.

The red circle is around what looked like a chrome plated blender. A blender in the river?
End of day far away. They had not picked up the wood. It is very heavy.

August 13, 2010 scary fish

Dead fish I found on the boat launch area of Cap St Jacques.

These teeth are needle sharp! I would not like to be bitten by this fish!
I have no idea what it is. I`ve never seen its kind before.

Guys don`t go skinny dipping here! Ha Ha!

bucket of glass and garbage

bag of glass and garbage(heavy)

four by eight press wood

eight by eights ( I think) I didn`t measure them. They look bigger than a 6X6.

Two 8X8 `s pulled out and to the garbage container. I do not know if these 8X8`s have toxic waste in them to preserve them like railway ones. If you have railways wood beams like this know that they have carcinogens in them and you should not use them in a garden to contain soil, as the poison will leach into the soil.
Same goes for that green treated wood. Its full of chemicals to preserve it for the 20 twenty year guarantee.

Cleaning at Cap St Jacques

Cleaning at Cap St Jacques
As the water levels have gone down all the garbage that was once underwater is now visible. Garbage from the monkeys and children who have visited the area.
There is a lot of glass, some garbage. Glass is hard to take pictures of because it is every three feet or so and small, but it adds up quickly when you start picking it up.

Battery (intact) and a visible green glass bottle (intact) in the distance.

If you recall yesterdays photos of foam on the water near the boat launch, there is/was a broken open battery on the shore there. I cleaned up what I could see.
What is inside a lead acid batter, a standard battery, are plates of lead. I picked up these plates of lead. People are concerned about lead poisoning but no one picks up the lead, or broken batteries. "Its the Indians job and I`m a Chief" or something.

A car Tire and another glass bottle. I dug out and pulled out the tire.

My third bucket of glass and some metal poles.

Styrofoam floating in the water at Cap St Jacques boat launch spot. I cleaned up a bit but this needs cleaning. Montreal water (river) inspectors-testers (they take water samples) came by and I talked with them. We agreed the park should clean the mess up.

Shielded electrical wire stuck in the ground. I took out several pieces.

Regular wire I took out.

End of the mornings work, far and close photos.
