Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

One medium bag of garbage , I made from many bits of garbage on the river shoreline and some metal poles wielded together.

The large piece of foam I mentioned before ( this is garbage left on the river shoreline that no one picks up). It was heavy so I put it in an old backpack to carry to the garbage container.

On the river shove of whitehorse rapids. One small bag of garbage ( broken glass at the bottom because glass is heavy relative to plastic) plus the wet black cloth-clothing in the photo. I picked up two chairs as well but did not photograph them as I put them in a dumpster. One was the broken-pole-folding with ants, the ants were gone. Someone had the solution of tossing the brokenpolechair back into the river to get rid of it. Brilliant thinking. NOT.
It was right on the shore though, so no problem to pick it up again.
I have to go back for the 2 by 2 foot soft foam because to my surprise it was heavy. Took out a block of asphalt as well.
Almost forgot the broken fishing rod is the second one I have found of late. If you look closely in this photo of the 16th, there is another fishing pole on the left hand side , sticking out of the white plastic bag.
I wonder if its from the same fishman.

Alright! They picked up the asphalt! Today I collected a twenty to twenty five pound bag of garbage from the river shoreline. See the beer bottle on top? Those Corona adverts are really working. I left a large piece of wet clothing and a piece of foam (two by two feet, soft) behind for tomorrow as they were too heavy to carry along with the bag.

Asphalt in river

Asphalt is pretty much the same as the tar balls of the Gulf oil spill.

"An explosion and fire on a drilling rig on April 20 (2010) left 11 workers missing and presumed dead."

Asphalt in river

Two bags of garbage , mostly from a fishman or fisherperson. The broken chair I pulled out of the river and hundreds of ants started coming out of it, so I was too afraid to carry it to the garbage bin. I will pick it up later.

I brought some of the asphalt to the garbage bin, but they are not taking it.

What's that?

Is that a bed?

It is a bed!

How to get rid of it. 1) Cut off the material.

Continue removing material.

2)Smash it with a hammer.

After you have made it lighter to carry, as it is in smaller bits, you can 3)carry it to the street (hopefully) and get rid of the eyesore.
