Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

Nature Photo of ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids woods trail (underwater).

Garbage, barbwire and a bucket of broken glass collected.

I walked the northern west-east trail of ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids woods. I had to wear rain boots for the trail was underwater in places. I collected the garbage that can be seen in the photo. I saw bright yellow birds on my walk but they did not let me get a photo of them.

Blue garbage can.

Refrigerator cooling coil , a bucket with three broken beer bottles and two bags of garbage.

I cleaned at Park Des Arbres. I noticed the day before people had been using the old spot to have a illegal campfire and beer party. I took the garbage to Brook Park because that is the nearest garbage can. To my surprise the city installed a garbage container with a removable lid. This is great because it makes it much easier to dump garbage into the container.

Some group of people had cleaned the eastern portion of ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids. Great job!

I found the remains of a fire on a flooded trail in the woods of ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids. I cleaned the area as best as I could.

What is a doorknob and cable signal splitter doing in the woods?
From the garbage I found I have to think people are bringing the garbage I take out, back in to the park. It is the only explanation. I used to leave garbage bags at an entrance to the park. I assume idiots pick them up on the way in for the materials inside that could burn in a fire.
Coffee cup and broken glass.

Total of the garbage I collected this day, about to go in the garbage bin.

I collected a tiny amount of garbage and thought that was it for the day.
Then I remembered the river water had a bunch of garbage in it and went to see how it was.
I had removed the large piece in the above older photo, but all the small pieces remained.

I found foam and various pieces of plastic which I collected and put in a bag.

The worst of the garbage that was floating on the shoreline of Park Paquin, about to go in the garbage container.

I tried removing some of the car/truck that is buried in ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids park.

At the start

Crowbar on blue sheet metal of a car, the other side of the tree.

brought my saw

Looks like a door, after some digging.

What I removed of the car, about to go into the garbage bin.

This was a failure because the buried car looked exactly as it had before I had started. The amout of garbage I removed was meaningless. I was disappointed.

At RDP 200, or Park Paquin MAY 2, 2014 I noticed a bunch of garbage in the water. This day I took out of the river one large chunk, and brought it to the garbage container.

Nature Photo of ChevalBlanc/Whitehorse rapids.

I picked up three loose rebars out of the woods (party location) and a small amount of garbage west of the official park.
There is lots of rebar in the woods here.

In my opinion what is needed is the rebar to be cut off with angle grinders ( and a bucket of water if the sparks from the cutting start a fire). Then an assessment of what can concrete debris can be buried VS what can be moved.
There are very old trees in the area that need an arborist and trimming to stay healthy.
All this would cost money.
