Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

I cleaned at Whitehorse rapids/Rapides du Cheval Blanc. Another of the garbage containers was full and had to be emptied and brought to regular trash pick-up.

The collected contents brought to the metal garbage bin. Deposit costs are too low, or people are too rich.

I cleaned at Whitehorse rapids/Rapides du Cheval Blanc. A short amount of time of work. I had to re-pack garbage into a standard black garbage bag. Humans were looking for something in the garbage container and had dumped the contents into a pile on the grass.

I cleaned the shoreline at Roxboro Island and the eastern edge of Whitehorse rapids/Rapides du Cheval Blanc. One bag of garbage collected.

Same photo as above un-zoomed.

Someone dumped their problem thorn plant in the river and it washed ashore on Roxboro Island. I did not bring this to the garbage.

The garbage I collected and brought to the city garbage container. There were/are lots of straws (red, purple) on the shoreline and area.

If you haven't seen it, you can see a turtle suffering from a plastic straw stuck in its nose video (video of removal). Maybe they should have left it in.

I cleaned the shoreline at Whitehorse Rapids/Rapides du Chaval Blanc. One of the containers on the shoreline was full so I brought that collected garbage to the garbage bin that is nearby.

The shoreline where the garbage container is located.

The garbage about to go into the regular garbage bin. Notice the aluminum cans, people are too rich or deposits on the cans are too low.

I cleaned the shoreline at the western edge of White Horse rapids/Rapides du Cheval Blanc, just east of the train bridge.

I brought the bucket to Roxboro Island as it has the closest garbage container that I can open the lid in order to dump my large amount of glass.
